Lighting the Stem Rather Than the Shade Changes Which Part of the Fitting Glows

A normal pendant puts a lamp inside a shade and the shade does the work. Running the light up a slim stem and threading glass onto it reverses that: each piece of glass lights from its own center and the metal between them stays dark. Where does the light actually come from?

The stem is lit along its length and the glass sections sit on it, so each bead is lit from its own middle. Nothing shines down from a lamp above, which is why the fitting glows evenly from top to bottom instead of showing one bright point.

Which finish for a warm room?

Gold and rose gold both pick up warm tones and suit a room with wood or brass elsewhere. Black turns the metal into a line and lets the glass carry everything, which works better against a pale wall or in a room with dark joinery.

Can several hang in a row?

A row along a counter or a staggered group over a stairwell are both arrangements the maker shows. Feed each one from its own ceiling point and cut the cords to different lengths so the vertical shapes do not line up flat.

Is it dimmable?

The remote dimmable version has its own driver and a handheld control, so the level changes without a wall dimmer. The three fixed color versions run at full output and should go on an ordinary switch.

Is the glass fragile in transit?

The sections travel separately and are threaded onto the stem during installation, which is both how the glass reaches you intact and why the fitting takes a few minutes longer to put up than a plain shade.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
