Long Cut Prisms Do Not Behave Like the Faceted Drops on an Old Chandelier

A traditional crystal chandelier uses cut drops, each one a tiny prism that throws points of colored light around a room. These are elongated bars of crystal set close together in tiers, and they work more like the glass rods on a modernist fitting: light enters at the top and runs down the length, so what you see is a band of vertical lines rather than a scatter. The result is much calmer to sit under and it reads as architecture instead of ornament, which is why the same fitting works over a desk and over a dining table.

Is it dimmable or not?

Write to us and we will tell you what can be supplied. Dimming is offered to order on this model rather than as standard, so we do not sell it as dimmable until that is settled for your build.

Where do amber and gray crystal come from?

Amber and gray are sold as crystal options alongside the black and gold frame finishes. Write to us and we will send you a photograph of the tone you are considering before you choose.

Round or linear?

Round for a square room or a round table, linear for a long table or a kitchen island. The linear versions run to 59 inches, which is the longest fitting in this range, and they carry the higher wattages.

What does the crystal tone change?

Clear is the brightest and throws the hardest highlights. Amber warms everything and reads closer to bronze. Gray mutes the sparkle and turns the fitting into a quieter, more architectural object. Clear also carries the lowest price of the three.

How many lamps on the linear versions?

The round versions state 4, 6, 8 and 12, the linear ones only give wattage. At 150W on E14 the 59 inch clearly takes a lot.

Which size over a dining table?

For a rectangular table, a linear version about two thirds of the table length: the 39 inch for a 5 foot table, the 49 inch for a 6 foot. For a round table, the 23.6 or 31.5 inch round.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum purchase. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay for delivery.

How long before my order ships?

Orders are typically processed within 1 to 2 business days after payment. We keep a short 24-hour window before processing so that you can adjust or cancel your order if you need to. Our team places orders with our warehouses Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

How long does delivery take?

Once your order has shipped, it is usually in transit for about 7 to 10 days. This is an estimate and can occasionally be longer depending on the destination country and the carrier handling your parcel.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your parcel ships, we send you an email containing a tracking link so you can follow its progress. If you do not see it, please check your Spam and Promotions folders.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
