A Bar of Yellow Travertine, a Pivoting Wood Drum, and Nothing Running Into the Wall

The fitting is two parts. A bar of yellow travertine, 5 cm wide and 23 cm tall, carries the whole thing and holds it flat to the wall. On the front of that bar sits a small wood drum with a white acrylic diffuser, and the drum pivots, so the beam can be aimed down at a book or up at the wall. What is not there matters as much: no cable into the wall, no cord down to an outlet, no electrical box. The light source is an integrated LED of about 4W and the battery charges over the USB cable supplied, which is what makes this usable on a wall that has no wiring behind it at all. Two finishes share the same stone bar, a light wood drum and a dark walnut one. Travertine is a sedimentary stone full of small voids, so the pitting and the color banding read differently on every piece.

Does it need any wiring?

The travertine backplate mounts on the wall and the light runs on its own battery, so there is no cable into the wall and no cord down to an outlet. It suits a wall with no electrical box behind it.

How long does one charge last?

A USB cable is supplied for charging. Runtime falls as the battery ages, as it does on any rechargeable fitting.

Can the head be aimed?

Yes. The wood drum pivots on the front of the backplate, so the beam can be pushed down onto a book or turned up to wash the wall above the fitting.

Is the light warm or cool?

Warm 3000K, with neutral 4000K and cool 6000K also built for it. Tell us which tone you want with your order and we will set the fitting up that way.

Will two pieces look the same?

Close, but not identical. Travertine is a porous stone and the pitting and banding run differently through each bar, and the wood head carries its own grain. Ordering a pair gives you two related pieces, not two identical ones.

How do I clean it?

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
