Amber, Green or Purple Glass, Ribbed All the Way Round So the Color Changes With the Angle
Flat colored glass goes one shade and stays there. These flutes are cut deep enough that each one catches the light differently, so the amber runs from honey to near brown around the drum and the green shifts as you walk past it. The shade is 11 inches across and 6.3 inches deep, carried in a black metal yoke that reads as a frame rather than a fitting. One of them is enough over a small round table. Two at different drops is the arrangement the maker shows, and it works because the colors are strong enough to mix.
