A Mirrored Cluster Is One of the Few Chandeliers That Works Switched Off

Most glass fittings only exist when they are lit. In daylight they turn pale and sit there waiting for evening. Mirrored shades do the reverse: they hold a dark, solid presence all day, reflecting the room back at itself so the cluster reads as a sculpture above the table at noon. It is worth thinking about, because a dining room light is looked at for many more hours unlit than lit. It also means the fitting has real visual weight, and a small room will feel it.

Is the glass smoked or mirrored?

Mirrored. It reflects rather than letting light through, which is why the fitting reads as a mass of dark volumes and not as a soft glow. Smoked glass would do the opposite. The difference matters for how the light lands.

Where does the light actually come from?

From the lamps at the hub, escaping between the shades. The mirrored surfaces then bounce it across each other, so the fitting throws a scattered, directional light rather than a broad wash from below.

Does it look like anything switched off?

Yes, and that is one of its strengths. The dark mirrored shades hold their form in daylight, so the cluster is still a sculpture in the middle of the day. Most glass chandeliers go pale and vanish.

Will fingerprints show?

Yes, on every shade. Mirrored glass shows contact the way a car mirror does. Handle the shades with a cloth during installation and keep a dry microfiber cloth for touch ups afterward.

Which size over a dining table?

The 31.5 inch with 16 lamps for a table from about 6 feet, the 23.6 inch for a round table or a smaller room. Both are only sold in one finish, so the size is the only decision.

What voltage is it?

90-260V, which covers North American mains comfortably and takes 120V without an adapter or a transformer.

Light Escapes Between the Shades Instead of Passing Through Any of Them

Because the glass is mirrored rather than translucent, none of the light coming out of this fitting has been through a shade. It leaves the lamps at the hub, finds the gaps between the ovoids and then bounces from one mirrored surface to the next on its way out. What lands on a table is directional and broken up, with bright patches and real shadow, closer to candlelight in character than to a diffused fitting. If you want an even wash of light over a work surface, this is not the fitting for it.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
