What size should I choose for a bedroom?

The small size measures 16.9 in across by 6.6 in high, or 43 by 17 cm. The large size measures 23.6 in across by 7.9 in high, or 60 by 20 cm. The small diameter suits a standard bedroom, the large one suits a wider room or a space where the fixture is meant to be read as a centerpiece rather than as background light.

Which color temperature is available?

Two. Warm white at 3000K leans amber and sits comfortably in a bedroom at night, where a cooler light would read clinical. Cool white at 6000K is brighter and closer to daylight, which holds up better in an office. The color is chosen when the order is placed, not switched on the fixture itself.

Does it use a replaceable bulb?

No. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit at installation and none to change later. It operates at around 10W on standard North American household power, which is why the fixture stays cool enough to sit against a fabric diffuser.

What is the shade made of?

A solid metal frame carries a fabric diffuser, finished in lacquered white. The maker hand-makes each fixture, so slight variation in the set of the fabric and the curve of the wings between units is part of the construction rather than a fault.

How far does it hang from the ceiling?

It does not hang at all. The fixture mounts flush to the ceiling on a short canopy. The small size stands 6.6 in or 17 cm from the plaster, the large size 7.9 in or 20 cm, which is what makes it usable in a room with a standard 8 ft ceiling.

Can the size be customized?

The maker builds custom versions of this model and can change drop length, cable length, canopy size, light count, sloped ceiling canopy and dimming. Send us the ceiling height and a photo of the room and we will pass the request on to the atelier for a drop plan.

At 43 cm across and 17 cm tall the small version is a bedroom fixture, wide enough to light a room without drawing the eye. At 60 cm across and 20 cm tall the large version becomes the thing you notice first on walking in. Both mount flush, so neither one eats headroom, and both carry the same integrated LED at around 10W. The choice is visual rather than technical. A rule many decorators use: add the room length and width in feet, and the sum in inches is a sensible shade diameter. A 10 by 13 ft bedroom gives 23, which points to the 60 cm size. A smaller box room points to the 43 cm one.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
