A Chandelier That Changes Color Temperature Is Two Fittings in One Body

Most chandeliers are fixed at one white and you design the room around it. This one moves from 3000K to 6000K by remote, which changes which part of the fitting you notice. Warm, the gold shades read as brass and the piece sits heavy and traditional above a table. Cool, the frosted shades come forward and the same object looks lighter and more modern. It is a practical thing as much as an aesthetic one: dinner wants warm and low, clearing the table afterward wants bright and neutral.

Does it really dim?

Yes, as sold. The remote is part of the single option offered, and it dims and shifts the white from 3000K to 6000K.

Do I need a wall dimmer?

A plain switched circuit is all it needs. The dimming is handled inside the fitting and driven by the remote, and adding a wall dimmer on top of that is how drivers get damaged. Tell your electrician to wire it as a standard switched line.

Are the shades porcelain or glass?

Two materials are named for these shades, glass and gold finished porcelain. We will not pick the more flattering one, so write to us and we will tell you which is on the piece you are looking at.

Round or rectangular?

Round for a square room or a round table, rectangular for a long table. The rectangular versions are also shallower, 12.6 inches against 21.6 to 30 inches, so they sit higher out of the way.

How many lamps and what base?

E14, and 8, 10, 12 or 15 depending on the version. They are included. Because the fitting dims by remote, use the lamps supplied or ask us for compatible replacements rather than any dimmable E14.

What does the color temperature range change?

At 3000K the gold shades dominate and the fitting reads warm and heavy. At 6000K the frosted shades take over and the same object looks cooler and flatter. Most people set it warm and leave it.

Alternating Gold and Frosted Shades Is What Gives the Tiers Their Rhythm

If every shade were frosted the fitting would be a soft blur. If every one were gold it would be a solid mass with light leaking between. Alternating them sets up a beat around each tier, so the eye reads the ribbed feather shape of the individual shade rather than the outline of the whole. From a sofa the gold pieces are reflectors and the frosted ones are the light, which is why the fitting looks busier switched off than lit, when the frosted shades take over.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
