Hung on a Chain Rather Than a Cord, Which Is What Carries Forty Eight Pieces of Glass
Every piece of amber glass on this fitting hangs free from the frame, so the whole thing moves slightly in a draught and catches light at a different angle each time. That weight is also why it hangs on a chain instead of a cord: the largest version carries forty eight glass pieces and eighteen E14 lamps. Four sizes run from 14.2 inches across up to 26.8, and the two larger ones stack their glass in two tiers rather than one.
