What size picture does 11.8 inches suit?

A framed piece between roughly 16 and 24 inches wide, or a small round mirror. It is an accent fitting. Above a large canvas the corners drop into shadow, which a front on photograph hides and which you will see from the side every evening.

Is bronze the only finish?

Yes on this model. It is a warm mid brown rather than a bright gold, which is worth knowing before you match it to a room. It sits comfortably with timber, cane, warm paint and older frames, and reads as a mismatch beside chrome or polished nickel.

Can I dim it?

As supplied it holds one level. The order carries one fixed warm output and no dimming build, so plan it as a fitting that is on or off. The TRIAC builds elsewhere in this range are the correct order where a dimmer already exists on the circuit.

How far does it stand off the wall?

Only a little, because the bracket is a short center block rather than an arm. That suits a flat framed print or a mirror. For a deep canvas on a stretcher or a heavy molding, one of the fittings in this range with a 5 or 6 inch projection will light the artwork instead of its own frame.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired, with a box behind the plate and a switch on the wall. There is no cord and no plug on this model. On a wall with no supply, the rechargeable fitting in this lot does the same job with no chase and no plaster repair.

Can it go in a bathroom?

On a dry wall, yes. The rating is IP20, which is no protection against water, so keep it clear of the shower and of direct spray. Its natural home is a hallway, a study wall or a console rather than above a basin.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.
