How big is it?

60 cm across and 60 cm tall, which is large for a table lamp. It needs a console, a sideboard or a low table at least 65 cm deep, and it wants to be seen in full rather than tucked against a wall. On a standard nightstand it would overhang on every side.

Choosing a Frosted Bulb for an Open Straw Shade and Keeping the Straw Dry

Two things follow from a shade that is open underneath. The first is the bulb: it is visible from a low angle, so a frosted E26 or E27 lamp is much easier on the eye than a clear one, and a warm tone keeps the straw reading as gold rather than gray. The bulb is not supplied. The second is the light itself, which arrives broken into a pattern rather than as an even pool, so plan the lamp as atmosphere in a corner and put a separate source wherever you actually read. Setting up is an ordinary outlet, 150 cm of cord and an inline push button switch, on AC 110 to 240V, with the plug chosen at order. Cleaning is dry work only. Use a soft brush or a vacuum on its lowest suction and follow the direction of the straw rather than working against it, or you will pull strands out of the courses. Keep water, steam and every cleaner away from the straw; the wood cone takes a barely damp cloth.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?
