Boho Table Lamp Built from Three Stacked Wood Spheres
Three flattened wood spheres, stacked one on the next, carrying a straight linen drum. The spheres are squashed rather than round, closer to river pebbles than to balls, and they sit directly on each other with no spacers or rings between them, so the joints read as simple creases up the height of the base. The wood is left in a warm natural tone and the drum above it is off white linen, open at the top and the bottom, which sends light up onto the wall and down onto the surface in equal measure. It is a wide lamp: the shade is 35 cm across and the lamp stands 52 cm tall, which suits a sideboard, a console or a hall table more than a narrow nightstand. The socket takes a standard E26 or E27 bulb up to 40W, LED or Edison, and the switch is an inline push button on the cord.
