What is the difference between the two profiles?

Height only. The tall bar stands 3.9 inches and reads as a deliberate horizontal element on the wall. The slim bar stands 2 inches and almost disappears, leaving a line of light. Both come in all four lengths, both project 2.3 inches, and both cost the same, so it is purely a question of how present you want the fitting to be.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, but not from a wall dimmer, because there is nothing wired into the wall to dim. Use an inline cord dimmer or a dimmable smart plug. That is the usual answer for plug in fittings and it works well here, since the switch is already on the cord.

How long is the cord?

Eight feet, braided rather than plain plastic, with an inline on and off switch. Braided cord is the right choice when the lead is meant to be visible, which it is here: it runs down pale walls above mantels and sideboards rather than hiding.

Which length should I take?

Match the furniture below it, not the wall. Above a mantel or a sideboard the bar should run close to the width of the piece, which usually means 31.5 or 39.4 inches. Above a bed the 47.2 inch version holds a double headboard. In a tight alcove the 23.6 inch one is enough.

Can it go in a bathroom?

The rating is IP20, so there is no protection against water, and a plug in fitting also puts a cord and a socket in the room.

Plug in wall lights usually treat the cord as an embarrassment and give you a thin plastic lead to hide behind furniture. This one takes the opposite position. How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
