Bedroom Table Lamp with a Wide Disc on a Black Wood Column
The disc is what makes this lamp work in a bedroom. It is wide and almost flat, 35 cm across, and it sits above a small reflector so the light is thrown down and outward against the underside of the disc before it reaches the room. Nothing bright is ever in view: from a seated or lying position you see the dark top surface and a soft ring of light on the table below, with no filament, no bulb and no glare at any angle. Below it a tapered column of black wood runs down to a brushed nickel foot, and a single brass button on the column is the only control. There is no socket to fit: the LED is built in, and a Type-C port charges it in three to four hours for eight to ten hours of use, so the lamp can also be carried to another room.
