Most children's ceiling lights are a plain shade with a decal stuck on. This one puts the character into the structure: the cloud is the diffuser, and the bear hangs beneath it on the fixture's own frame, molded in resin and finished in the same white. Seen from a bed looking up, the bear reads in silhouette against the lit cloud, which is a different effect from a printed pattern that disappears when the light is on. The fixture is hardwired with nothing dangling within a child's reach. Two sizes cover the usual range, 30 cm for a small bedroom and 45 cm where the cloud needs to carry the room.

Which size fits a child's bedroom?

The small size measures 11.8 in across by 4.3 in high, or 30 by 11 cm, and draws around 24W. The large size measures 17.7 in across by 4.3 in high, or 45 by 11 cm, and draws around 36W. Both keep the same 4.3 in height, so the decision is about how wide the cloud reads above the bed.

Can the light be dimmed?

There are two options. Warm light is a fixed output. Triac warm dimming lets the fixture dim through a compatible Triac wall dimmer, which is useful in a child's room where the same light has to work for play in the afternoon and for settling down at night. The dimmer itself is not included.

Can I get a cooler white?

Yes, but it has to be arranged in advance. The maker can supply this model in neutral light at 4000K or cool light at 6000K. Contact us before placing the order and we will have the correct version arranged, because the color is set during manufacture rather than switched on the fixture.

What is the bear made of?

The fixture is built from metal, PE and resin, all finished in white. The cloud shade diffuses the integrated LED, and the bear hangs below it as a molded figure. There is no separate bulb anywhere in the assembly.

Is it safe above a cot?

The fixture is hardwired to the ceiling, with no cord hanging within reach, which is the arrangement the maker supplies it in. As with any ceiling fixture, confirm the ceiling box is rated for the weight and have a licensed electrician make the connection with the power off at the breaker.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No, it cannot. The rating is IP20, which the maker describes as suitable for indoor use only where the fixture cannot be exposed to moisture. That rules out any room where steam collects. A child's bedroom or a playroom is the kind of dry space it is built for.

A child's bedroom does two jobs in one day. In the afternoon it is a place to play, and the light needs to be bright enough to see by. At bedtime the same room has to wind down, and a single fixed output cannot do both. The maker offers this model either as fixed warm light or with Triac warm dimming, which dims through a compatible Triac wall dimmer bought separately. The small size draws around 24W, the large around 36W, both from an integrated LED with no bulb to change. If a neutral 4000K or a cool 6000K version is wanted instead, that has to be arranged with us before the order is placed.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
