Deco Geometry Holds Its Own Against Marble Where a Thin Bar Simply Disappears

Put a plain slim bar on a wall of veined marble and the marble wins: the fitting reads as a pencil line against a pattern that is already busy. This one has enough structure to survive that. Two bars set apart, a squared block between them, a strong horizontal repeated rather than stated once. On plain plaster it is still handsome. Against a strong surface it is the one that works.

What makes it art deco rather than modern?

Repetition and symmetry. Deco fittings stack simple geometry rather than reduce it: two bars instead of one, a squared block on the axis, no curves and no taper. A modern bar removes everything it can. This one keeps a second bar it does not strictly need, and that is the whole difference.

What size mirror does 19.7 inches suit?

A mirror or canvas between roughly 26 and 38 inches wide. It is the widest of the plain bars in this lot, so it suits a single large mirror or a substantial framed piece rather than a narrow one, where the twin bars would read as a heavy band across a small object.

Can I dim it?

As supplied it holds one level. The order carries a single fixed warm output with no dimming build. Where a dimmer already exists on the circuit, choose one of the TRIAC builds in this range instead of adding a dimmer to this driver.

Which finish suits a marble bathroom?

Gold against warm veined marble, black against gray or white marble with dark tapware. The fitting carries enough geometry to hold its own beside a strong surface, which is exactly where a plain thin bar disappears.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired, with a supply and a box behind the center block and a switch on the wall. The block is squared rather than round, so check it covers the existing box opening before removing the old fitting.

Can it go in a bathroom?

The rating is IP20, which is no protection against water, so keep it clear of the shower and of direct spray, and wipe condensation off the bars rather than letting it dry there.

Three Point Nine Inches of Projection Puts It Between a Mirror Light and a Picture Light

It stands 3.9 inches off the wall, which is a deliberate middle. That is enough to throw light forward onto a face at a mirror rather than straight down the glass, and enough to clear a flat frame or a slim molding over a canvas. It is not enough for a deep gilt frame or a stretched canvas standing several inches proud, which needs the six inch brackets elsewhere in this range. Measure the depth of what you are lighting before choosing, because projection decides whether a fitting works far more often than width does.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?
