The Light Hangs Inside the Curve, So the Wood Frames It Instead of Holding It

Most wall lights are an arm and a shade, and you read them as two parts bolted together. This one is a closed loop. A single length of wood is bent into an arch, one leg carries it on a small canopy, and the frosted cylinder hangs in the opening under the crown. Nothing projects past the frame. From a step back you see one continuous shape with a warm band glowing inside it, which is why the piece reads as an object on the wall rather than as a fixture serving the room. The consequence is practical as well as visual: because the diffuser sits within the arch rather than in front of it, the whole fitting stays close to the plaster and nothing catches a shoulder in a passage.

Questions about this product

Everything you need to know about this product.

Why hang the light inside the arch?

Because it closes the shape. A shade on a bracket reads as two objects, an arm and a shade. Here the frame surrounds the diffuser, so the eye takes in one silhouette and the light appears to come from inside the wood rather than from a fitting attached to it.

How far does it stand off the wall?

Very little. The canopy is 14.5 x 3.5 cm and the arch sits close in front of it, so the piece reads as flush. That is what lets it work in a hallway or beside a door where a projecting arm would be knocked.

Is there a bulb to buy?

The LED is integrated behind the frosted acrylic cylinder at a warm 3000K, so nothing is ordered separately and nothing is swapped later. Any work at the end of its life is a job for a qualified electrician.

What does the warm dimming option add?

On the standard build the light holds 3000K at every level. On the Triac warm dimming build the color drops with the level, so turning it down moves the light toward candle tones the way a filament lamp does. It needs a compatible Triac wall dimmer, not included.

Which finish suits a dark wall?

The oak tone, because it separates cleanly and the arch stays legible as a shape. The walnut warms into a dark wall and reads quieter. The black almost disappears and leaves only the lit cylinder, which is the point if you want the light and not the object.

How do I clean it?

Let it cool. Wipe the acrylic diffuser with a barely damp cloth and dry it, keeping solvents away from it. Wipe the wood along the grain with a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Oak, Walnut or Black on One Shape, and the Wall Decides Which of the Three

The arch is identical across the three finishes, so the choice is only about how much you want it to show. On a pale plaster wall the walnut gives the strongest drawing, a dark closed line with a warm glow held inside it, and it is the version that pairs with existing wood furniture. The oak tone is the one to use on a dark or a colored wall, because it separates cleanly and the curve stays readable from across the room. Black does the opposite of both and recedes almost completely, so what registers after dark is a floating band of light with barely any object behind it. Same size, same canopy, same integrated LED in all three.
