Two Arched Arms Rather Than One Straight Post, Which Changes Where the Light Starts

A single central arm is the cheaper way to hold a tube off a wall, and it works, but it puts all the weight and all the visual mass in the middle of the span. Two arcs spread that load to the thirds, which is why this bar stays straight at 66 cm and why it reads as lighter than it is. The arcs also set the geometry of the beam. Because they rise and then come forward, the tube sits above and in front of the top edge of whatever hangs below, so the light leaves the diffuser already clear of the frame. Over a round mirror that means an even wash across the glass rather than a bright band at the top, and over a framed print it means the paper is lit and the moulding is not.

What size mirror does 25.9 inches suit?

A mirror of about 30 to 36 inches wide, so the bar covers two thirds to four fifths of the glass. On a 24 inch mirror it overhangs and lights the wall beside it. On a 48 inch mirror it looks undersized and leaves the outer thirds dim.

Is the finish brass or bronze?

Aged brass. The photography shows a warm aged brass rather than a cool dark bronze, and that is how we describe it. Write to us if the exact finish name has to appear on a specification.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired, with the supply arriving behind the plate and a push switch wired back to the wall switch. There is no cord and no plug on this model.

Is there more than one size?

One length is offered. That is worth knowing before you plan around it: if your mirror is much wider or much narrower, the three length bars in this range give you a choice this one does not.

Can it go in a bathroom?

Above the mirror on a dry wall, yes. IP20 means no water protection, so keep it clear of the shower and of spray.

Can I dim it?

As sold it runs at one level, a warm light on a push switch. If dimming matters for the room, tell us before you choose and we will point you at a fitting built for it.

Aged Brass Is a Warm Metal, So It Belongs Next to Wood, Tile and Gilt Rather Than Steel

Finish decisions above a mirror are usually made twice: once for the light and once, six months later, for the taps. Aged brass sets that up cleanly. It sits with a brass tap, a wood vanity, unlacquered handles and a gilt frame, and it warms a pale tiled wall instead of cooling it. It does not sit with polished chrome, and it argues with brushed steel. The tone also matters for what the light does to colors below it: warm metal and warm light together hold the reds and ochres in an oil painting, in terracotta tile, and in oak. Against a cool modern bathroom in nickel and white, the nickel and black bars in this range are the honest recommendation instead.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
