A Wall Sconce With a Head That Tilts Where You Need It
A short chrome stem holds a walnut drum on a swivel, and that swivel is the whole point: the head tips through a wide arc, so the same fitting can push light down onto a book, straight out into a corner, or up onto the wall. The drum is 13 cm across and the fitting stands 16 cm tall, small enough to sit beside a bed without crowding the nightstand. Chrome banding wraps the walnut and a polished reflector sits inside the head. It plugs in: a 150 cm cord with an inline push switch runs down to the outlet, so nothing needs wiring. It takes a standard E26 or E27 bulb, not included, and the choice of bulb matters because the reflector is exposed when the head is tilted up.
