Accent Table Lamp with a Floral Shade on Turned Walnut
A short lamp with a long history behind its shape: a turned walnut base of stacked curves, swelling into a gourd at the bottom and pinching twice on the way up, under a cream empire shade printed with roses and leaves in the manner of a hand painted shade. At 39 cm it is deliberately low, which is what makes it an accent rather than a main light: it sits under a shelf, beside a stack of books, on a nightstand that already has a clock and a glass on it. The print is loose and botanical rather than repeating tightly, so it reads as pattern from across a room and as individual flowers up close. It takes an ordinary E26 or E27 bulb.
