The Lamp Count Is the Real Decision on This Fitting, Not the Canopy Diameter

Eight versions are sold and it is easy to read them as eight sizes. They are not. The diameters only move from 21.7 to 31.5 inches, which is a modest spread, while the output moves from 5W to 30W, a factor of six. A one holder version above a sofa gives a warm presence and almost no working light. A six holder version lights the room. The feathers diffuse everything so heavily that neither ever glares, which is why the difference between them is not obvious in a photograph and is very obvious once the fitting is up.

What is the difference between one, three and six lamps?

Output, and nothing else. One holder is 5W and reads as a glow, three is 15W and lights a seating area, six is 30W and lights a room. The feathers are the same, the diffusion is the same, the stem is the same.

Are the feathers real?

Yes, they are ostrich plumes on an iron frame. That makes the fitting very light, around 2 to 3 lbs, and it also means the canopy is never quite even. Each one settles slightly differently.

How do I clean it?

Shake it gently, or use a hair dryer on cool and low from about a foot away. Never use water and never use a vacuum on the plumes. Done once or twice a year that is enough.

Can it go in a stairwell?

We sell it for a flat ceiling. The chain is 11.8 inches, the cord is not adjustable, and a slope is not offered on this model. For a stairwell, tell us and we will point you at a piece built for the drop.

Does it look sparse or full?

Both are sold. The one holder version spreads the plumes flat and hangs two small bird figures below. The six holder version packs them into a dense dome. The photographs show the two extremes.

Is it suitable over a dining table?

Yes if the table is not used for messy cooking, since feathers hold smoke and grease. The three holder version at 15W is the sensible one there. Keep it out of a kitchen with an open hob.

Feathers Diffuse Light So Completely That the Fitting Has No Bright Spot

A fabric shade still shows a hot center where the lamp sits behind it. A layered plume canopy does not, because the light crosses dozens of overlapping barbs before it leaves, and each one scatters it again. What reaches the room is even, warm and quite dim for the wattage. That makes the fitting easy to live with directly above a seating group, where a glass or crystal piece of the same size would be uncomfortable to sit under, and it is also why the six lamp version exists at all.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
