Minimalist Chandeliers

Minimalist chandeliers give a room scale without weight: a thin frame and an open structure that leave the ceiling visually clear. An open frame reads smaller than a solid one at the same measurement, so size it to the table width minus about 12 inches and hold 30 to 36 inches above the tabletop.

• Over a table: table width minus about 12 inches, 30 to 36 inches above the top
• In an open room: diameter in inches equals room length plus width in feet
• Clearance: 7 feet of clear floor, 8 feet where a door swings underneath
