wood-desk-lamp-carved-cantilever-arm-60-x-48-cm
Wood Desk Lamp, Carved Cantilever Arm 60 x 48 cm

Wood Desk Lamp with a Carved Cantilever Arm

There is no upright on this lamp. The body is one long piece of carved solid wood that lies along the desk, swells into a heavy rounded tail at the back and sweeps up and forward at the front to carry the shade out over the surface, so the whole thing works as a cantilever: the mass of the tail holds down what the arm reaches out. That is why the light can land in the middle of a desk without a post standing in the way, and it is also why the lamp needs 60 cm of length to sit in. The shade is a plain white fabric cone, wide and shallow, which puts a broad soft pool under it rather than a narrow spot. It takes an ordinary E26 or E27 bulb, the switch is an inline push button on the cord, and three finishes are offered: a pale natural wood, a walnut and a black.

Product sizes

One size: L 60 cm x H 48 cm (L 23.6″ x H 18.9″)

Specifications

Style: Japandi, mid century

Material: Solid wood and cloth

Shade: Wide shallow cone in white cloth

Body: One piece carved solid wood cantilever arm with a weighted tail

Finish: Natural wood, walnut or black, chosen at order

Light source: E26 or E27 base, LED or Edison, bulb not included

Voltage: AC 110-240V

Power source: Plug-in, 150 cm (59.1 in) cord

Switch: Inline push button on the cord

Installation: None, plug it in and switch it on

IP rating: 20 - not waterproof

Environment: Indoor

Plug: US, UK, AU or EU, chosen at order

Certification: North America, EU, AU, Saudi Arabia

Solid wood: each arm is carved individually, so grain and figure vary

Related collections

Browse Home Office Desk Lamps and Wood Table Lamps for fittings that pair with this one.
