walnut-wall-sconce-teardrop-plate-opal-globe
Walnut Wall Sconce, Teardrop Plate, Opal Globe

An Opal Globe Set Into a Walnut Teardrop

The plate is not a circle. It is a teardrop, wider at the bottom than the top, cut from solid walnut and left with its grain running across the shape, and an opal glass globe sits in it. Dia 18 x H 28 cm, and the globe projects about 9 cm from the plate, so the piece stays tight to the wall for something with a globe on it. One size, one wood, nothing else to choose. That is the argument: a single considered shape in a single material, where a round plate would be a fitting and this reads as an object. The lamp is a G9, not included, and the opal glass hides it completely. Hardwired, switched from a common push switch.

Product sizes

One size: Dia 18 x H 28 cm (⌀ 7.1″ x H 11″)

The globe projects about 9 cm (3.5″) from the plate

Specifications

Style: Minimalist, mid century

Material: Solid walnut, opal glass

Shade: Opal glass globe

Finish: Solid walnut

Detail: Plate cut as a teardrop rather than a circle

Light source: G9 lamp, LED or filament, not included

Bulb base: G9

Recommended bulb: Warm 2700K to 3000K lamp

Dimming: Triac dimming offered as a build to order option

Wiring: Hardwired to the wall supply

Control: Works with a common push switch, switch not included

Mounting: Wall

Voltage: AC 110-240V

IP rating: 20 - not waterproof

Environment: Indoor

Solid wood: grain and tone vary from one piece to the next

Related collections

Browse Wood Wall Sconces, Glass Wall Sconces and Minimalist Wall Sconces for fittings that pair with this one.
