oversized-table-lamp-turned-wood-urn-on-a-plinth-40-cm
Oversized Table Lamp, Turned Wood Urn on a Plinth 40 x 55 cm

Oversized Table Lamp with a Turned Wood Urn on a Plinth

Everything about this one is scaled up. The shade is 40 cm across, a white empire shape rather than a drum, so it flares outward and covers a wide circle of the surface below. The body underneath is turned wood, a flattened urn with a narrow collar above it, and it stands on a stepped square plinth instead of a round foot, which is what keeps the mass looking deliberate rather than heavy. A short brass neck joins the two. At 55 cm tall the bottom edge of the shade clears eye level for anyone seated, so the bulb stays hidden and the light lands on the table rather than in your face. Two finishes are offered, a walnut that keeps the turning visible and a black that reduces the same shape to a silhouette.

Product sizes

One size: Dia 40 cm x H 55 cm (⌀ 15.7″ x H 21.7″)

Specifications

Style: Traditional, transitional

Material: Wood, metal and fabric

Base: Turned wood urn on a stepped square plinth

Shade: White fabric empire, 40 cm across

Finish: Walnut or black, chosen at order

Hardware: Brass tone neck and fittings

Light source: E26 or E27 base, LED or Edison, bulb not included

Voltage: AC 110-240V

Power source: Plug-in, 150 cm (59.1 in) cord

Switch: Inline push-button on the cord

Installation: None, plug it in and switch it on

IP rating: 20 - not waterproof

Environment: Indoor

Plug: US, UK, AU or EU, chosen at order

Certification: North America, EU, AU, Saudi Arabia

Related collections

Browse Wood Table Lamps and Living Room Table Lamps for fittings that pair with this one.
