The shade is a rounded volume drawn in at the top and the bottom, with ribs running from end to end so the surface is divided into soft vertical panels. Lit, the silk glows evenly between the ribs and the ribs themselves read as fine shadow lines, which is what gives the piece its wabi-sabi character: a simple form, a softly uneven surface, nothing polished. It is a quiet fixture rather than a decorative one, which is why it works above a low table, over a bed or in a home office where the light should not compete. Four sizes run from 40 cm across and 18 cm deep to 80 cm across and 30 cm deep, and the proportions stay the same all the way up. LED bulbs are included on an E27 base, a knob switch operates it, the fixture is not dimmable and it runs on 90 to 260V, covering 5 to 20 square meters.
