globe-table-lamp-wooden-sphere-base-20-x-68-cm
Globe Table Lamp on a Wooden Sphere Base 20 x 68 cm

Globe Table Lamp on a Solid Wooden Sphere Base

The globe here is the base, not the shade. A solid sphere of wood sits directly on the surface, a slim metal stem rises out of the top of it, and a tall narrow cylinder of white fabric sits on the stem. There is no foot, no plinth and no spreading base, so the sphere reads as an object resting on the table rather than as a fitting bolted to it, and the weight of the wood is what keeps the lamp standing. The proportions are deliberately stretched: 68 cm tall on a 20 cm shade, which is unusually slim for a table lamp and is why it works on a console or a sideboard where a wide shade would crowd everything around it. Two finishes are offered, a pale natural wood and a dark walnut, both turned from solid stock.

Product sizes

One size: Dia 20 cm x H 68 cm (⌀ 7.9″ x H 26.8″)

Specifications

Style: Mid century, minimalist

Material: Wood, metal and fabric

Base: Solid turned wooden sphere resting directly on the surface

Shade: Tall white fabric cylinder, 20 cm across

Finish: Natural wood or walnut, chosen at order

Light source: E26 or E27 base, LED or Edison, bulb not included

Voltage: AC 110-240V

Power source: Plug-in, 150 cm (59.1 in) cord

Switch: Inline switch on the cord

Installation: None, plug it in and switch it on

Weight: 5 kg (11 lbs)

IP rating: 20 - not waterproof

Environment: Indoor

Plug: US, UK, AU or EU, chosen at order

Certification: North America, EU, AU, Saudi Arabia

Solid wood: the grain and the tone vary from one sphere to the next

Related collections

Browse Wood Table Lamps and Living Room Table Lamps for fittings that pair with this one.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0997/8183/7096/files/globe-table-lamp-walnut-sphere-plain.jpg?v=1789382471
